JOB OBJECTIVE
The individual hired for this position will work remotely and serve as a critical representative for developing and maintaining relationships with distributors, retailers, growers and applicators with the support of our multiple year trial data, growing team of fertilizer experts, and marketing communications.
The Regional Sales Manager position is working in their best environment when they are seeking, establishing, supporting and maintaining productive, professional relationships with key personnel in new and assigned accounts that are directly linked to the sales of company products to customers. This individual is responsible for generating new leads, presenting and educating prospective customers on product offerings, and establishing revenue generating accounts with large crop input distributors, retailers, growers and applicators. This position includes prospecting new partners/customers and attending trade shows, conferences, networking events, and educational trainings. This role is focused on supporting channel partners and establishing revenue generating opportunities where RhizoSorb®, a patented soil amendment and fertilizer additive, is used to improve product offerings for the agricultural markets. This individual will have the ability to acquire a strong working knowledge of company products, technology, and sales techniques and facilitate product testing and grow sales of RhizoSorb®. The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with other commercial team members and technical support teams and report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

- Effectively build and maintain working relationships with customers, industry partners, professional associations and team members while promoting the company’s technology and products
- Identify, cultivate and close new business sales relationships with key account decision makers
- Ability to support and visit distributors, retailers, growers and applicators in the Great Lakes Region of the United States (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York)
- Contact new and existing key accounts to discuss their needs, practices, and concerns; subsequently, determine which specific products can address and meet those criteria
- Represent Phospholutions and our products at site visits, trade shows, meetings, educational trainings, and other venues to ensure complete comprehension of product(s)
- Assist with developing outstanding strategies, content and collateral to promote, sell, and support key account purchases
- Ability to work independently, learn industry trends, and take initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- “Day-1 Expert-level” proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM software (i.e. Pipedrive, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field from an accredited university or college
- 10 years of sales experience in the agriculture industry
- Experience working with crop input manufacturers/distributors in the agriculture industry
- Experience selling fertility products preferred
- Role will be subject to frequent travel (50% to 75%) to meet with clients, attend trade shows/conferences, etc.
- Background checks (criminal/education/employment/reference/DMV) will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company
- Also requires a valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and the ability to drive to and from prospective and current accounts or other business engagements, as needed

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, i.e., heat, humidity, rain, cold, etc. for extended periods of time
- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces
- Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs.
